Symptoms of neuropathic pain can vary widely but often include burning or shooting pain, tingling, numbness, and increased sensitivity to touch or temperature. In some cases, even a light touch can cause significant discomfort, a condition known as allodynia. Patients may also experience hyperalgesia, where they have an exaggerated response to painful stimuli.
