What Challenges Exist in the Use of Remote Sensing for Toxicology?
Despite its advantages, remote sensing in toxicology faces several challenges. One major issue is the resolution limitations of satellite imagery, which may not capture small-scale pollution sources accurately. Data interpretation requires sophisticated models and expertise to differentiate between natural and anthropogenic sources of pollutants. Additionally, the high cost of advanced remote sensing technologies and the need for comprehensive ground-truthing can be barriers to widespread adoption.
