What Are Common Sources of Photosensitizing Agents?
Photosensitizing agents can be found in a variety of sources. Some medications, such as tetracyclines, sulfonamides, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), are known to have photosensitizing properties. Additionally, certain plants, like St. John's Wort and lime, contain natural compounds that can cause photosensitization. Cosmetic products and fragrances may also include ingredients that lead to increased UV sensitivity.
