Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) refer to a range of effects that can occur in an individual whose mother consumed alcohol during pregnancy. These effects may include physical, behavioral, and learning problems. FASD is an umbrella term, encompassing conditions such as Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), partial FAS, Alcohol-Related Neurodevelopmental Disorder (ARND), and Alcohol-Related Birth Defects (ARBD).
