What are the Challenges in Studying Tumors in Toxicology?
One of the main challenges in studying tumors in toxicology is the complexity of biological systems. Tumor formation is influenced by a multitude of factors, including genetic predisposition, environmental influences, and lifestyle choices. Additionally, some tumors may take years or even decades to develop, making it difficult to establish direct causal links between chemical exposures and tumor development. Furthermore, differences in species susceptibility and the relevance of animal model findings to humans present additional challenges.
