The four main components of the REACH Regulation are:
Registration: Manufacturers and importers must register substances they produce or import in quantities over one tonne per year. They must provide data on the chemical's properties and uses. Evaluation: ECHA evaluates the information provided to assess risks and determine if further testing is needed. Authorisation: Some substances are identified as being of very high concern (SVHCs) and require authorisation for specific uses. Restriction: Restrictions can be placed on the manufacture, use, or sale of certain dangerous substances.
