How Can We Assess the Impact of Toxins on Cell Division?
Toxicologists use various methods to assess the impact of toxins on cell division. Laboratory-based assays such as the Comet assay and micronucleus test are commonly used to detect DNA damage and chromosomal abnormalities, respectively. In vitro cell culture models and in vivo animal studies provide valuable insights into the mechanisms by which toxicants interfere with cell division.
