How Does BOD Relate to Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)?
Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) is another measure of water quality that indicates the total quantity of oxygen required to oxidize both biodegradable and non-biodegradable organic matter. While BOD focuses on biological oxidation, COD includes chemical oxidation as well.
