Treatment for oleander poisoning is primarily supportive and symptomatic. Activated charcoal may be administered if ingestion is recent, to bind the toxins in the gastrointestinal tract. In cases of severe poisoning, antidotes such as digoxin-specific antibody fragments can be used to neutralize the effects of the cardiac glycosides. Intravenous fluids and medications to stabilize heart function may also be necessary.
