The study of gene expression in toxicology employs several techniques. Microarray analysis allows researchers to monitor the expression levels of thousands of genes simultaneously. RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) provides a comprehensive view of the transcriptome, revealing not only expression levels but also novel transcripts and splicing events.
