What are the Clinical Manifestations of Toxic Coagulopathy?
The clinical presentation of coagulopathy due to toxic exposure can vary widely depending on the toxin involved. Common symptoms include spontaneous bleeding, easy bruising, petechiae, hematomas, and prolonged bleeding from minor cuts. In severe cases, internal bleeding or life-threatening hemorrhages can occur. Conversely, some toxins may lead to excessive clotting and thrombosis, causing complications such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism.
