Environmental carcinogens, such as tobacco smoke, industrial pollutants, and certain chemicals, have been studied for their potential to trigger or worsen the manifestations of Gorlin Syndrome. Research indicates that these carcinogens can further disrupt the already compromised cellular pathways in affected individuals, leading to a higher incidence of cancer development. As such, individuals with Gorlin Syndrome are advised to minimize exposure to known carcinogens to reduce their risk.
